INCARCERATION
‘there was no case for us to prosecute you, I will recommend that this matter be closed...’
A few months after we received a visit from an FBI officer who walked into my office and told me I was going to jail and that I was going to do some serious jail time. In mid 2005 the state prosecutor summoned Carol Chambers and I to his office in Albany Georgia to answer questions regarding the importation of the five motorcycles that the Attorney for NHTSA in Washington DC had requested. We had two visits and on the second visit he said ‘there was no case for us to prosecute you, I will recommend that this matter be closed as far as we're concerned you have not committed a crime and you've done everything that you were supposed to do’. He confirmed this in a letter to the directors of Superbike Racing Inc. and NHTSA in Washington DC and requested no further action taken being as we had complied with all the federal requirements. Six months later he was removed from his position being as he was not indicting enough people for prosecution, that's when Jim Crane was appointed as federal prosecutor.
In December 2005 I went to Italy to conduct some business. And I was gone for three months. When I arrived back in the US in Atlanta Georgia in February 2006 I was met by two federal police officers and I was informed that I was under arrest as an indictment have been issued against me. I was taken to federal prison in Orlando Florida. I was incarcerated for 45 days.
This is a form of torture. Many of the prisoners in the facility were trying to kill each other and were threatening each other, some of them were going mad.During a 45 day sentence in Orlando Florida I lost 30lb in weight. I could not eat the food that they served as it was not food, it was disgusting. The other prisoners were giving me fruit to eat but when the federal prison officers found out they took my fruit and so I had nothing to eat. I slept on a concrete bunk with a plastic mattress that was 25mm thick. With one sheet and one blanket I was moved from that facility to Albany Georgia and put in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day in a prison cell that was 8 foot by eight-foot with no windows and I was left out for one hour at 11 o'clock in the evening to have a shower and walk around. This is a form of torture. Many of the prisoners in the facility were trying to kill each other and were threatening each other, some of them were going mad.
There were no medical facilities. The food has no nutritional value, the orange juice was colored water. It was disgusting and you lose track of time, you don't know what day it is. You sleep because there's nothing else to do, or you go to another world, you have to do to keep your sanity. The reason I was put in solitary confinement was because they wanted to break me, they couldn't, but it does affect you.
Below is an example of actual food Served at the Butte-Silver Bow County jail in 2013. The menu totals just 1,782 calories per day, far short of the recommended 2,500 calories required. (Source: The Marshall Project)
After my conviction and imprisonment I learned how vicious the US government and it's employees are in every department there are terrible corrupt people.
They have no respect for human rights in prison there are no medical facilities, the food they feed you with you would not give to a starving dog.
Most prisoners have their relatives send money so they can purchase food from the commissary, the money is sent to the prison service which is put on the inmates account. The prison service deducts 20% for admin the food that the inmates can purchase is 3 times more expensive than what it cost outside. This service is owned by the BUSH family.
It's a very lucrative business. If an inmate is allowed to make an outside telephone call the cost is extortionate in 2005/6 it was $3.50 per minute and a family member had to pre-pay in advance $100.
Prison guards treat inmates as sub humans there is no interaction every one incarcerated is a criminal no matter if you’re innocent. They take away your dignity as a human being. To put an individual in solitary confinement is designed to break your will and spirit so that you become subservient to the authorities.
The US believe in torture Guantanamo is based on the Federal Prison system, the advantage of being located in Cuba is that there is less of a chance the world finding out what atrocities the US commit.
After eventually being released from Federal Prison on bail the probation officer in Valdosta, who I had to report to once a week, told me I had to find employment whilst I was waiting to be sent to prison for the 28 months handed down by the court.
Their intention was to ruin me emotionally and professionally.I quickly found employment a lucrative highly qualified position that paid $150,000 per annum. The probation service told me that was not acceptable I had to find menial work locally that paid around $5 per hour. I am a professional and I am not allowed to follow my career path. Their intention was to ruin me emotionally and professionally.
